Workshops

Ed Gerhard is one of the most highly regarded acoustic players on the scene today

His intensive yet informal workshops cover a myriad of topics and produce results in students at any level of ability. In his workshops Ed performs his own compositions and those of others to explore composition and arrangements. He shares his tips on how he gets his gorgeous tone. Above all, Ed focuses on the music and getting the most out of the guitar. Workshops are individually customized to address each audience. Special topics and advanced workshops are available upon request.

Ed at a workshop

I left Gerhard’s workshop feeling inspired and eager to pick up my guitar and try some of his suggestions. After only a week, I can already hear (and so can my wife) an improvement in my playing. I would recommend as strongly as I can that anyone at all interested in fingerstyle guitar, no matter what your level of skill, make every effort to attend his workshop.
-Student at Ed’s workshop, Manhatten, Kansas

I definitely left quite ‘energized’ and feel that Ed has given me the tools to take my playing and arranging to the next level.
